ALGERONICS was an electronic side-project formed in 2006 by George Banzon at the age of 14. The name comes from the first half of Algernon and the second half of electronics. The project was initially influenced by deeper ambient electronica sounds similar to artists such as Lali Puna, Dntel, Arthur & Yu, dublab, etc.

In early 2007, the project was abandoned when ALGERONICS was lost in musical direction. Later that year, he experimented on various electronic styles and was finally introduced to sampling. ALGERONICS was then used as a named for unreleased/unfinished tracks or previews for upcoming tracks for more serious projects (at the time). By the end of 2007, ALGERONICS found a growing interest for the arising electronic dance scene. In particular, he found himself becoming addicted to the French-Electro scene which included new influences like Daft Punk, Surkin, Teenage Bad Girl, Justice, Para One, Sebastian, Tacteel, Teki Latex etc.

The following year, ALGERONICS officially became the name of his dance project. ALGERONICS started experimenting with this new style mainly producing original tracks at a rapid pace. At this time, he was beginning to learn more about DJing as well.

By 2009, ALGERONICS was then introduced to music blogs and began to produce unofficial remixes for songs for promotional purposes and continued producing original compositions. In just six months of work in the studio, he was able to catch the attention of music bloggers and quickly got on some of the major blogs. ALGERONICS has reached the popular music of hypem.com several times with his ?Digital Love? remix at #1, #2, and #5; ?Hey You? remix at #4; ?Pretty Girls? remix at #6.

As described by deathelectro.com: “Algeronics mixes electro beats with disco flavours and wobbly ghetto basslines making his music a cross breed of big room electro club anthems and modern fidget/dubstep.”
